THE STORY OF SUGAR COOKIE

Sometimes, nothing satisfies like a sweet, buttery sugar cookie. Commonly served during the holidays and at festive events throughout the year; the sugar cookie is simplicity at its finest. The first-published recipes appeared in cookbooks in the 1800s and the rest is culinary history. Rich and buttery with a delightful sweetness and delicate flavor that melts in your mouth. We've taken this classic treat and added an herbal tea twist.

Our Sugar Cookie Herb + Fruit Tea is a delicious new culinary chapter in the sugar cookie story. Warm and comforting, this cup is filled with buttery and nutty flavor, undertones of caramel, and a bright sweetness from the stevia leaves. A celebratory mix of dried fruit adds hints of jam flavor reminiscent of a jam filled butter cookie. Some mistletoe adds a festive touch to the tea along with a dose of antioxidants. The white willow bark creates depth of baked, cedar wood flavor while offering additional wellness benefits. This caffeine-free herbal tea is blended with natural flavors, the final step in perfecting this calorie-free dessert in a cup.

The same way a sugar cookie can be decorated in countless ways with frosting, sprinkles, chocolate, or edible paint, this tea can be enjoyed for many different occasions. You can decorate your cup with a stick of cinnamon for Valentine's Day. Add a spoonful of hot chocolate powder for a cocoa sugar cookie delight. Squeeze some fresh lemon into your cup during cold and flu season to add a zesty boost of wellness. Summer is the perfect time to brew a pitcher of iced tea and the addition of fresh fruit will brighten up the cup. Sugar Cookie is the perfect calorie-free indulgence to curb your sweet tooth. Brew a cup today and enjoy a tea that is buttery yet light, simple yet nuanced, classic yet whimsical.

BREWING INSTRUCTIONS

BREWING INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT TEA: Infuse one slightly heaping teaspoon for each 8 ounce cup with boiling water for 3-7 minutes.

ICED TEA BREWING METHOD (Pitcher): (To Make 1 Liter/Quart):
Infuse 6 slightly heaping teaspoons of tea with 1 1/4 cups of boiling water for 5 minutes.  Quarter fill a serving pitcher with cold water, and add the infused tea, straining the leaves, to the pitcher.  Add ice and top-up the pitcher with cold water. Add lemon and sweeten to taste. A rule of thumb when preparing fresh brewed iced tea is to increase the strength of hot tea since it will be poured over ice and diluted with cold water.
ICED TEA BREWING METHOD (Individual Serving):
Infuse 1 slightly heaping teaspoon of loose tea with 6 ounces of boiling water for 5 minutes. Add the tea to a 12 ounce glass, filled with ice, straining the leaves.  Add hot tea to a 12oz/375ml acrylic glass filled with ice, straining the tea or removing the bags. Add lemon and sweeten to taste.

NUMBER OF CUPS: 15-20 cups from each 50 grams of tea, with a single use of the leaves.  Loose leaf tea is traditionally infused 3 times, with a different flavor profile following each infusion.  Accordingly, each 50 gram bag can make up to 60 cups of tea.
