THE STORY OF FLOURISHING MATRIX
Has it been one of those days? One of those weeks? A lifetime? The cyclical nature of life and our bodies can wreak havoc on our physical well-being and mental health. Thankfully, you've found Flourishing Matrix, a lush, peppermint-forward concoction of soothing herbs and flowers blended to tackle the pressures, pains and cramps of women's health.
This soul-nourishing blend offers a cornucopia of botanical delights all selected for therapeutic use. We start with a dose of ginger and rosehips for flavour and anti-inflammatory properties. Ginger is also a common and traditional home-remedy for nausea. Peppermint and spearmint add a cooling breeze of relaxation-rich menthol that can help ease stomach issues. Anecdotal evidence suggests raspberry leaves and lemongrass can reduce cramps and aid with bloating. Calming camomile and vitamin-rich lime leaves add a soothing touch to the blend. And don't forget the flower petals for enhanced visual appeal.
All that, and we haven't even mentioned nettle. One of the key components of this matrix, Nettle is a source of iron, which is said to help with anemia, improve the immune system and promote overall gut health. From the first sip to the last, this is one Matrix you won't want to escape from-the perfect all-day soothing-sipper. The menthol top-notes are quickly tempered by a crisp ginger and lemongrass sensation. Relaxation is the conclusion, sinking into the innate gentle sweetness of rosehip and camomile. Lingering herbaceous and light floral undertones round off the flavor.
BREWING INSTRUCTIONS
BREWING INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOT TEA: Infuse one slightly heaping teaspoon for each 8 ounce cup with water brought to a boil for 3-7 minutes.
Infuse 6 slightly heaping teaspoons of tea with 1 1/4 cups of boiling water for 7 minutes. Quarter fill a serving pitcher with cold water, and add the infused tea, straining the leaves, to the pitcher. Add ice and top-up the pitcher with cold water. Add lemon and sweeten to taste. A rule of thumb when preparing fresh brewed iced tea is to increase the strength of hot tea since it will be poured over ice and diluted with cold water.
Infuse 1 slightly heaping teaspoon of loose tea with 6 ounces of boiling water for 7 minutes. Add the tea to a 12 ounce glass, filled with ice, straining the leaves. Add hot tea to a 12oz/375ml acrylic glass filled with ice, straining the tea or removing the bags. Add lemon and sweeten to taste.
NUMBER OF CUPS: 15-20 cups from each 50 grams of tea, with a single use of the leaves. Loose leaf tea is traditionally infused 3 times, with a different flavor profile following each infusion. Accordingly, each 50 gram bag can make up to 60 cups of tea.
